Mayra Tuncel is a fashion designer based in New York City. She received her BFA from Parsons School of Design in May 2026 and was enrolled in the Materiality (textiles) pathway for much of her time there. Born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey, to Turkish immigrant parents, Mayra grew up in a multicultural environment, which heavily influences her work today. With a fascination for traditional women's crafts, she aims to bring practices like lacework, embroidery, and knitting to life through a modern lens.
